As we celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, we will talk what Hispanic Heritage Month is, and why it's important for our friends, families and communities to get out the vote. Environmental Justice Monthly Meeting

This upcoming weekend is national public lands day, so we will be discussing issues and assumptions with these lands at our monthly meeting this Thursday at 5pm. We will be continuing the conversation we started during our September 8th “Whats the Tea,” and inviting an additional guest from the Center for Biological Diversity to discuss the destruction of Pinyon Juniper forests. RSVP at bit.ly/planenv.

Complete the Census: Don’t forget to complete your 2020 Census by September 30th! Everyone needs to be counted to ensure adequate resources for our state. Complete your census online at my2020census.gov. You can learn more about the census and Nevada’s Complete Count Committee here.

Donate to PLAN's Undocumented Emergency Relief Fund: Please donate to PLAN’s emergency relief fund for front line workers and families in Nevada who are not eligible for CARES or other COVID relief. The PLAN Citizenship Office will review applications and provide $300 to families at risk for eviction, food insecurity, and other hardships. If you have questions please contact ecastro@planevada.org or call 775-238-3416.
